I remember telling you how to sort out your signature problem in Outlook but I don't recall anything about an internet dialogue box. If you mean signatures then you can either right click on the signature or you can open Word, click tools/options/general/email options - both should get you to the right screen. Then delete or amend as you like.
If you mean internet dialogue box then please be more specific - I'm not sure what Word would have to do with this.
You're right - I got the answer to the two questions I asked confused - as you do when you don't stop for a minute and try to do things in a hurry.
The problem is the connection dialogue box, even tho I did what you asked its still happening - the CONNECT box keeps coming up all the time and is driving me nuts.
Thanks for your help.

you can disable the auto connection you really should try and find out what program is trying to make a connection. Firstly because you can almost certainly turn this feature off from within the program (my bet is it is your antivirus or windows xp update - both will keep dialing every few minutes under some settings) or, less likely, you have a virus or trojan hidden on your PC. Make sure you have up to date virus definitions and run a scan. For trojan detection and removal "the cleaner" is regarded as the best. You can download a copy free of use for 30 days from their website http://www.moosoft.com/thecleaner/
