I think it is generally accepted that OJ Simpson was guilty, but he was tried fairly and acquitted, and that's how the legal system works.

Until criticised by the system for expressing a contrary opinion to the jury based on the fact that 'you don't know all the facts how can you comment'.
These days with open trials and reporting so broadly available we, the Joe Public can oflt or not.
On that basis Barrymore justs joins the list of Jeremy Thorpe, OJ, Michael Jackson and Madely. These comments are not biased they just reflect what most of us think. Long may the jury be the decider but the 'best' system it is not.
