What is torts
I received a ticket from a private clamping company on a coop car park when I was in the shop, I am refusing to pay as there was a no parking sign that could not be seen from my side of the car, and no other indication that it was not a parking bay, it was not causing an obstruction. A letter has arrived saying that if I do not pay 130.00 I will be summonsed to court under trespass and torts ruling, and that they may impound my car, what does this all mean, I ignored the ticket because I seriously thought it was a con because the ticket issuer was stood by my car asking for imediate payment and the ticket and subsequant letter are of very poor quality and full of spelling mistakes, I have not heard anything from the courts, please help.

Take photos of where you were parked and the surrounding area.
Keep all correspondence.
Let them take you to court.
You can email a copy of the letter if you like - but blank out your personal details.

just simply go back to the shop in question, the co-op,and ask to speak to the manager and explain the situation to him nicely and see what he has to say about it all,if it is a scam, contact the police,if its real, then there must be signs up somewhere,so check it all out first, then you can decide which way to go with it.
