My little brother is 13 and he is addicted to this crap, he puts 10 credit on his phone around every three weeks and he has anger issues when he is asked to come off it after 8 hours, he also calls his fellow Habbo's his mates and when i call it Haribo Hotel he goes skitzo, anyone else have family members who are addicted to this sort of thing?
Just looked this up, it all seems ok, properly set up and moderated. However, 8 hours on anything virtual is too long.
He should be out on his bike or playing football.
I would seriously consider "losing" his phone, or suggest to your parents that they limit his access to this.
I go on Habbo sometimes. But in 2005 i had a major addiction to it. The only reason i had a massive addiction was because i met loads of great people like just your brother has and yeah i called them my mates to cos you grow to be close to them eventhough you dont know them in real.
Trust my your brother will get bored i know i did, he runs of out of things to do on habbo and you just lose interest. All my Habbo friends have now left habbo so i have noone else to hang around with thats why i spread away from it too.
If you just leave your brother be he will get over it and get bored sooner or later nearly everyone who goes on that site does.
Oh and with the credits thing, i would do what mattie said with the "losing" the phone thing cos trust me the credits are a rip off 5.00 for 50 credits which will get you like 12 peices of furniture which won't even decorate one room so he'll want to buy me.
Hope this helped.
