we've all done our wills at home, downloaded the form from the internet. provided your wishes are set out clearly and it's witnessed properly, and none of the witnesses are beneficiaries, there shouldn't be a problem. both my late parents did too, and we didn't have any probate problems dealing with them. maybe if the will is complicated it would be better to seek advice from a solicitor, although anyone with a bit of common sense could do just as good a job. there's plenty of advice around, both via the internet and the library.
