TASK ANNOUNCEMENT
SPLASH! - HOUSEMATES MUST SWIM FOR THEIR SUPPER
(E4/Interactive streaming Monday 18 June)
For this week's shopping task, Big Brother has set the housemates a challenge to collectively Swim The Channel. The housemates are due to begin the task this evening, after completely their nominations.
To win a luxury shopping budget for next week, housemates must put their water skills to the test, in order to swim the distance of the English Channel from the comfort of their own swimming pool.
Housemates must decide amongst themselves how they wish to tackle the
34 km distance between Dover and Calais. Big Brother has calculated that the distance the housemates must swim is equal to approximately 7556 lengths of the pool.
The housemates must take it in turns to swim their part of the task. They are allowed to choose the order in which they swim and how many lengths they will each swim. The housemates have until Tuesday evening to complete the task.
When one housemate is swimming, two other housemates must be in the boat next to the pool. These housemates must spur the swimmer on and count the number of lengths they have completed. Lengths will only count if two of the housemates are in the boat at the time of swimming.
In addition, the housemate that swims the furthest will be rewarded and the housemate that swims the shortest distance will receive a punishment
If housemates swim the distance in the given time they will receive a luxury budget to spend on next week's shopping.
