My visiting neice did something to my computer last time she was down to stop it being so slow but now I can't access certain sites and I can't use my homepage search engine, I have to type the address in myself . Is there a way I can restore my computer back to the way it was? (I 'm fairly new to my computer)

Assuming you have Windows XP:

Start - all programmes - accessories - system tools - system restore.

When the system restore panel opens, click 'restore my computer to an earlier time' and click Next.

Choose a date before your niece altered it and follow the simple instructions.

Hi molliedog.
With regards to your niece doing "something to my computer last time she was down to stop it being so slow".
Is it possible she did a disc clean-up to "free" space on your HDD(Hard Disc Drive) therefore making your pc faster.
If so, go to Start - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools - Disc Cleanup
This will give you a list of types of files to delete.
eg. Recycle Bin, Downloaded Program Files, etc. and click Okay.
If you do this regularly, you are helping maintain your pc.
Hope this helps.
