Heard that the nxt series of dr who is gonna be the last my son is horrified!! Does anyone know when filming will start and if it will be in cardiff again if so whereabouts?? We always seem to miss it so i would love to take him down as we're not far from cardiff to do some star spotting? Thanx in advance.

The Christmas Special for this year will start shooting around July / August if last year's schedule is anything to go by.

Current writer/producer Russell T Davies and a lot of the Who crew will be leaving Who at the end of series 4 ( the next series ) to work on other projects at BBC Wales.

There is only fan rumours that the show is ending after the next series, I'm sure the BBC will find replacement producters and key staff.
Doctor Who has had many producers in the past, there is no reason the show will not get new producers now.

It is a popular show that brings in a lot of money for the BBC and has raised BBC Wales profile, it won't go lightly.
