How long before technology evolves to allow us to achieve this?

The technology is already available, but it's pointless. It would cost so much to build and in comparison to air travel would be expensive it would never be built.

It might be expensive to build and run but thats what money launderings for!!!
Sorry, i know it would upset the whole of the econamy but oh well, the goverment does it anyway we just don't know it
