I honestly am not a director of their company, nor do I own shares in the product, but the head of our domestic team at work suggested it to me when I had a similar problem involving a cream carpet showing souvenirs of various beverages including Ribena, and it was so effective that I now actually find myself telling people about it! It did need several goes on the oldest stains, but - at the risk of sounding terminally sad - it did do exactly what it said on the tin.
I often look at Tipking on the internet for good ideas. They have one for coffee stains on carpets. Although it deals with wet stains here I have tried the mixture of vinegar and water on a dry stain and it worked really well. You can see it here: http://www.tipking.com/tip/4097.html
I have to say, I took the advice from ChocClare after coffee was spilt on my carpet on Saturday. I didnt clean the carpet straight away, just blotted it off then tried my carpet cleaner on Monday which didnt work.
Ive just bought some Vanish Oxi Action spray and its worked, Im amazed as the coffee was well and truly dried and after all it can be used as a dye!
Thats something Ill keep in my kitchen forever now!
