if a large company has a statement of intent {customer care policy } and knowingly break that policy ,can any action be taken against them.

It very much depends on the circumstances, the severity of any breach and the result.

if it's a pledge to customers, such that you bought something on the basis of it, maybe. If it's just a mission statement to gee its own staff up, maybe not. But it depends, as Ethel said.

thanx.very quickly: 2 houses 1 shared path tenant 1 buys house removes path to extend garden.tenant 2 wants housing association to make new owner reinstate path.housing association would rather let owner pay for a path in the garden of tenant 2 shrinking very small garden even more.the statement of intent says that "customers always come first".not so in this case.this has gone on for 12 months
