eBay urgent help needed!
When selling on eBay, if your item does not meet its reserve can you still make an offer to the highest bidder if the bidder id was set to private? I have no idea how to contact the person!
Thanks!
Thanks!

They'd just want you to relist.

In all the times I've ever sold something on eBay I have only had acess to the winning bidders id, and if it hasn't sold, then none are displayed. Where should I be able to see the i.d. of people bidding and should I be able to see the id of people watching too?
I have just relisted because I'm very short of time.
Original unsold item number is: 190124733191
new relisted item number is: 190126909200

The ids will be clearly visible to you the seller in 'bid history'.
To help keep the eBay community safe, enhance bidder privacy, and protect our members from fraudulent emails (such as fake second chance offers), eBay has changed how bid history information is displayed. If you place a bid on a higher-priced item, only you and the seller of the item can view your User ID in the bid history. Other members can no longer view User IDs and will see anonymous names, such as Bidder 1.

You've only got it on a one day listing so pointless trying to end it early.
By the way - if those tickets get lost in the post, you will only get compensation from the post office for 34, and you will be hugely out of pocket as PayPal will refund the buyer.
You should send by special delivery.
You can't contact the bidders from your first listing now. This is to protect them from scams. Your only way would be by 2nd chance offer.

the last time I had anything sent to me by recorded delivery, it was actually delivered by a man living a quarter of a mile away down the road, who found it lying in the gutter. I never did get a satisfactory explanation from the Royal Mail of what they thought 'recorded delivery' meant. So good luck.
jno is right in what he says e bay have done this to stop the seller conntacting the 2nd,3rd, etc bidder if your item does not reach your reserve.
When an auction finnishes that has not met the reserve price e bay will get in conntact with the seller to ask if you want to make the 2nd bidder a chance to purchase at there higghest bid.
If you accept this your item will be relisted by e bay ONLY TO THE SECOND HIGHEST BIDDER and nobody else , on a one day auction to them at a buy it now price to them on the amount they bidded.
Thay way e bay gets to collect there precious few pennies that they earn in commission of you.

Thanks for your answers, I'm not actually sending the tickets myself, I originally bought them off eBay and that person has informed me the tickets have been dispatched from ticketmaster to her so she's sending them straight to my buyer. It was so long ago that I don't know whether it's via special or recorded delivery, but it should be ok. I've never had any tickets go missing in the past (touch wood).
