green tomato

I have a green tomato plant I think. It is full of flowers and does not look like a regular tomato plant. Where the flower was, is a green pod and feels like a tomato is growinginside it. What kind of plant do I have? And what do I do with it?

Where did it come from? most people who have a tomato plant would have bought the seed or young plant to start with. It wont just appear in your garden.

there are other plants in the same family that it could be, even weeds like deadly nightshade (dont eat that if it is). If you can post a picture then I can identify it for you.

thank you for the link to organic catalogue. The green tomato plant is Mexican tomatillo.
