Don't know where to begin

This work life, education and qualification business confuses the hell out of me.

I left high school with bad (or no) GCSEs -- I don't even know my grades. I don't even know how to find them out. All I know is that I had to do my maths and english again.
I don't understand all this level 1 level 2 level 3 stuff. I have certificates but I don't know if they mean anything or what I can do with them.

I went on to college for three years. I did Information Technology & Computers. This year I would have been moving on to a level 3 hardware and software course but it seems I've wasted a year unless I can finish an assignment in a week.

I'm 19, never had a job and feel like I've wasted three years doing nothing. I don't know what to do :S

How can I find out what qualifications I have and what I can do with those qualifications?

Why does everyone else understand all this stuff except me?

I would suggest you contact the connexions service at your college. You must remember sitting some exams/submitting coursework ?

yea I remember doing lots of exams at highschool and some at college.

I found out off my maths teacher that I have level 1 maths but I really could do with having level 2.

exam results mean less as you get older..
