I walk the same route to work every morning-takes me 15mins.I guarentee, every single day theres something blocking the pavement forcing me into the road.If its not a wheelie bin its a car or deliyery van.Today its roadworks. The whole footpath was closed so i had to walk in the road. Then, rounding the corner, where i could get back on the path, there was a car,all 4 wheels on the path. The driver was getting window cleaning stuff out of the boot.Well......i couldn`t hold it in.....i flipped. Can`t repeat what i said but it made me feel better, and he moved the car.....YES.....result.

I regularly end up with the kids and me having to walk in the road coz idiots dont leave enough room on the pavement! I used to detest going out with the double buggy, as you could gaurentee i would have to walk in the road. As for roadworks i have been made to walk in the road as the stupid idiots leave their wheelbarrows and spades all over the floor. and when blocking the pavement theyr supposed to make a little path on the road with bollards but never do. aah deep breath, rant over:-)
just a wheelie bin point, i live on a main road and we have a sort of courtyard around the back where the bin men used to collect our bins from, until they introduced wheelie bins and we were told we had to put them at the front for collection. i rang up and pointed out that this would mean the bins would be on the pavement and possibly forcing people into the road and the response i got was that if i want my bins emptied i have to leave it out the front!. i always try to wedge it as close to my door as poss, but when the bin men empty them they just sling them back any old how. I also walk to work btw and this is one of my bugbears as well - delivery drivers are the worst in my opinion
The cars parked on the pavement annoy me as well. if the kids are going past one on their scooter or bikes, I never warn them to be careful the same as I would for a legally parked car. If their car gets scratched then that is their lookout. i don't have a buggy anymore, but it makes me mad when I see people with prams or buggies or little ones in tow that have to go onto the road to get past just 'cos some lazy b* cant be @rsed parking properly as they might have to walk 10 yards! Yes I am also a car driver, but I would rather park further away than put someone else in danger.
