When it was announced I had doubts over the control system as I wasn't sure hwo sensitive/accurate it would be. On that front it surpassed my expectations.
I think the problem for it at the moment is game developers are going for the same standard run of the mill games but trying to use the controller in different ways, the most successfull games IMO are the ones that are totally independant of that and are built from the controller out.
Yeah, i'd have to agree with all the above. I love the Wii, it's innovative, fun, easy-to-use...but the lack of quality games is letting it down at the moment.
However, the next 6 months are looking to pretty good for quality releases...Resi 4, MySims, and Mario Galaxy to name a few!!!
Forget about the so called killer games. Just get some of the party games and get some mates round. It is by far the most advanced control system i have ever seen and the fun to be had with a group of mates is amazing.
Mario Galaxy will re define gaming classics as it will blow the console war wide open. As all gamers know any Mario title is BIG news on the gaming front.
Get one asap and enjoy the new way to play games, and by the way you can download all of the back catalogue of Nintendo and Sega onto the systems memeory.
the tennis game that comes with it is brilliant for a party:
4 players at once, and anyone can enjoy it, not just geeks.
Now if you're a geek yourself and you're looking for deep games, there is a Zelda, then there's all the gamecube games, then there's a load of downloadable games from previous consoles, some of them are masterpieces.
I suspect lots of rubbish wii games will be available too.
So as usual, be careful, it's all about the games.
it's exellent i play it every day even though it's my friends one i still manage to force him to give me a go he thinks it's crap but i think thats coz he has loads of great things
