Whatever happened to Kate Bush?

I believe that she has largely retired and lives in seclusion in a big house behind heavily graffitied iron gates somewhere in the Berkshire countryside. There was a rumour last year that she had a baby daughter. She donated the cloak she wore in the 'Babushka' video to the girl who impersonated her in last year's 'Stars in their Eyes' final, so I guess she still keeps an eye to the outside world!

Kate is apparently very happy and proud to have such a beautiful son, Bertieand having great fun being a Mum as well as working on a new album. According to the Kate Bush fanzine (http://www.clubi.ie/twomey/homegrou.htm) "Kate is working on her eighth studio album. EMI are now hoping and planning for a release in Autumn 2001". It now looks like The Sensual World and The Red Shoes will probably be released together in early Spring 2001. These will be followed by The Dreaming and Never For Ever probably in late Spring or early Summer and finally The Kick Inside and Lionheart in late summer or early Autumn. EMI hope these reissues will pave the way for Kate's new album towards the end of 2001.
