Immoral practices
Past generations have always regarded as normal particular practices or beliefs which later generations came to see as immoral. For example, slavery was once regarded as acceptable by most people. Or, it was once considered normal to employ young children in dangerous work (such as sending them up chimneys). It's therefore possible that there's some practice or belief which most people in our modern society accept but which will later be seen to be immoral. What do you think this is likely to be?

Thanks for all the answers. Personally, I think vittoria is nearest the mark but I'd go even further. I think that it's possible that eventually meat-eating will be abolished. There are plenty alternatives to meat (i.e. various quorn-type things that look like real meat and are supposed to taste like it) and this is bound to become more wide-spread in future. Combined with a greater awareness of the cruelty supposedly suffered by animals in farms and abattoirs, I suspect that meat-eating will become unacceptable. And, in case you think I'm a vegetarian, I'm not. I like eating meat- and I don't feel guilty about it- but I've just got this feeling that it's only a matter of time...
