Apparently Ian Brady has said he will tell the police where he buried his undiscovered victim, Keith Bennet, if they allow him to starve himself to death.

Deal, because they are not going to change the law for him, so at least the parents can have a proper burial.

That's sort of what I thought - his surviving family must be desperate to let their boy rest in peace.
I'm a bit skeptical as to whether he could find a piece of Moorland 45 years after the event. Could be one last cruel stunt.
I doubt they'd be able to do that.

And doesn't he do this quite often anyway? Says he'll tell them and then 'can't remember' or changes his mind?

If he truely felt that remourseful or any guilt he'd tell the parents anyway. As it is, I think he's just looking for an easy way out.

No deal. He wins that way He's got years of rotting in prison to go through first, and it sets a very awkward precedent with criminals who think they can barter with the British law.
