Fitting a new bathroom
Hello I have a bathroom meaures approx 12ftr square and looking for new bath sink and new tiling. Therefore before I start asking for quotes from tradesman, can anyone offer a rough price on how much a tradesman will charge that will be dismantling old bath and sink and taking off old tiles (dont need toilet done as in separate room and recently been done) and installing bath sink and tiles. Thanks

Keep in mind, the preparation of the underlayment (floor or wall) can have a startling effect on the total cost. For example, the floor should be covered by a cement board of some kind that is glued and screwed to the existing subfloor. If the subfloor isn't sound, some or all of that would have to be replaced, severely , increasing the costs. You have about 144 square feet so that will be reasonably expensive, overall... I just finished one about that size and tiled the floor myself (had previous experience) but it still cost about $4.00 per square foot over all... of course my labor was free, so to speak...
