not an enormous fan of body art, but quite like the quirky symbol that Jessica gets on her back, the sign on the sword and the Haitian's necklace. How hideous is getting a tattoo on a scale of one to ten and even though my husband said he would divorce me if I got one, he left me at Easter, so should I get one just to spite the git.

well, to each their own i say............BUT was just reading an interesting article by Melanie C (aka sporty spice) and she has ithink its 9 tattoos - and oh how she regrets them, she goes on to say how fab they look when your young tanned and toned, but just hideous in later years? Just a thought..........if youre doing it to spite your husband, surely there are better ways, dont give him an opportunity to look down on you? The best revenge is surely to be happy and successful (without him) But, as i say...........up to you xx
It's not painless but it is a bearable pain. It's a bit tickly too. Definitely worth doing if you seriously want it done but not just to spite your husband.

Regarding Mel C, her tattoos were always absolutely disgusting so I'm not surprised she regrets them. You can get much nicer stuff than what she had done, although I think she was probably quite damaged at the time of getting them so my criticism ends there.
No don't do it to spite him, its you that has got to live with it and see it a lot longer than he will ever have to!!

Just tell him that you have one done in a private place along with a nice piercing??

I have 10 tattoos on my arms, done about 30 years ago, I have never regretted getting tattoos but of course like most things, my tattoos are now out of fashion and some are rather faded, I would choose very different ones now, yes even at 49 I would probably still get some if I had the room on my arms, but I haven't so I wont.
I've got one and I do like it but if I had the chance again I would not get it done.

I think the pain is like scratching at sunburn with a needle, but I am a wimp when it comes to these things.

I wouldn't get it done though to spite him - is he really worth marking yourself for life for? Give it a couple of months then if you still want one, get something you will never regret.

Mine is a symbol which represents the meaning of my name
I got one when my wife left me . She always disaproved and I always wanted one so at the age of 41 got one. A cartoon picture of a dessert island on my shoulder that can only be seen when my shirt is off. Love it and so do my kids!

GET ONE DONE!!! its estimated only 17% of people that have tattoos done regret them...
Yeah, you should get one. I find that for about 6 weeks after I have one done it looks wierd, but after that I kind of adjust what I look like to myself, if you see what I mean and then they look normal. Saying I didn't like them any more would be like saying I didn't like my nose any more.

Love tattoos!!

Not that painful depending on where you get them. The top of my back was the worst place ever!! And I've got my armpits done and they were fine.
