You haven't said whether the child is a boy or a girl, and just two or nearly three. This chart gives the averages in inches and pounds for boys and girls.

I think this "modern" idea of average weight/height etc for a child is complete nonsense. There was n`t such a thing years ago. A lot depends on the genetics of the families.
