Pebbles has suggested a different answer for no. 53 to the one headley & brokenbank have given. who is right?

I didnt understand pebbles clue and like rockingham but of course we know by now that the setter will go with the one they think!
Confused I presumed we didnt have to answer number 1 or do you mean my number one Boy from urban area

I still need 27 and have got John O Groats for 32 which doesnt really fit (4,7)

Being a pensioner, my mind went back to rock an' roll, hence I arrived at Rockingham. At the moment it's all I can offer. I havn't got anything to offer for 27 & 32, but will be back if the light dawns.

Well I presumed it was something to do with waltzing matilda from the clue but I have read it and re read it and cant see anything to do with a pig
Is it time I gave up quizzing and took up stamp collecting or something I feel very thick at the moment

Don't know if they are right but I also have opted for John O'Groats for number 32.
For 27 I have come up with Stirling! ( as in Sterling effort!)
Any one got anything better please.

I see you've asked again about 27 First Class on another post. Value your opinion- Marycroft has given the same answer as I gave you yesterday (Stirling).
Do you think this fits ?
Not sure if you missed my response or dismissed it.
Also, I have Monmouth for 59 but not sure. Can anyone agree or offer alternative suggestion. Many thanks

Sorry no I must have missed it here and yes I quite like stirling.
I prefer Yarmouth to Monmouth but that is probably cos with my derbyshire accent I would say yer mouth so it seems closer
