now i have provisionally been offered this job but at my current workplace my manager has actually started to pay attention to me realising that i am unhappy. However i think the reasons for me being unhappy are the nature of the job rather than things that can be changed. So the hours are not good for me and the nature of the work is not suited to me. I am not having a life because i am on constant lates. The new job would be 9 to 5 but the thing i feel bad about is i have only been in my current job for 4 months, just finished training and would feel bad that have let the people that promoted me down

should i go for it, ti sjust that i feel bad ditching a job i havnt been in for long but have realised its not for me but then gona move miles away from home but do better hours. i suppose ive made up my mind i wanna go to new job but am scared of telling current boss.

worried.me....you have to think of number 1 sometimes on these occasions. If you've been in a job for four months and not enjoyed it, it's not like you've not tried. Have you spoken to your boss about not being happy? If you really like the sound of this other job, you could wait until you're officially given the job offer and just lay your cards on the table and tell your current boss about how you feel, before you go back to the other job so that you can see what kind of a reaction you get - which may assist in your decision? Personally, my view is you spend most of your week in work (if you work full time) so you have to be happy. If this new job is the one for you then so be it. Life is too short to be unhappy.

well thats part of the prob my boss has recently said right lets do you a paln etc where can i help. anyway i wanna have a life and move somewhere new etc i need to be out there makin friends and doing things not working 5 days a week and being knackered the other 2

If you've made up your mind you want the new job worried.me then make sure you have the official offer before telling boss and tell him as soon as you receive the document to get it off your chest. These things are always a bit awkward but once done you'll feel tonnes better. You do sound like a worrier (not a bad thing, shows you care) and I think you should try to put it to the back of your mind (easier said than done I know) until you have the paper work from the new place as you could end up making more of the situation in your mind than what it actually is (if that makes sense). Go and pour yourself a cuppa and watch some naff tv!!

well yes i suppose it could be a while before i have it in writing and have to go and see them again so someone else can approve me! got a weeks hol in 2 weeks anyway so that should be nice. and seeing my gf this weekend.

hi worried.me - well they're really nice things to look forward to. If I were you, see how you get on at work over the next little while (before you get the official job offer) and concentrate on your nice holiday! I can be a right old worry guts at times and sometimes work myself into a big state through over thinking about it - and in reality it's not as big as what i've made out in my mind...I mean if you get a job offer and fancy a new role somewhere that's your perogative. What will be will be. If you still have to see someone else at the new job to be then i'd sit tight for the minute and think of the nice sun you'll be under this time in a couple of weeks, going anywhere nice?

no im just gona go and stay with my gf for the week and spend some time at her parents house in mid wales.

that's really nice, a relaxing break from the norm. It's always nice to chill out and not have to be anywhere at a certain time etc etc.
