I accidentally deleted the file windows command out of the recycling bin. My computer in a windows 95 and it won't start anymore. I was in the process of deleting files so that I could upgrade to win xp? I am taken to a black sceen telling me to type in the command program or something? what can i do to fix this?

Next time you try to boot your PC press Del while it boots to go into BIOS. In there you can change the "first boot device" to your CD Drive. If you put the XP disc in then you can boot directly from there and upgrade to your new operating system.
if you have a win95 boot disk use that. when it has booted to the dos prompt type sys c: after a bit of disk access you will get the message system transfered after this you should be able to boot back into win95 if you have Win95 on your pc are you sure your hardware can cope with WindowsXP? check your system specs
note: there is a colon : after that sys c command
