As I say they work fine then after five minutes the sound starts to slip behind and if you rewind then forward to same point it works fine again.I can only put it down to the dvd player but I have bought 3 now,So which one do I get??
I had a similar problem last week - the sound started to drift out of sync - and it was because the file I had downloaded was NTSC and I burned it as a PAL disc. As the frame rates are different, it throws the sound sync out. Check the frame rate of the file and re-burn as the correct disk type if you haven't already. The original file should play fine on your computer but, if you're saying the disc plays okay on the computer, this may not be your problem. Worth checking though.
I got so fed up with this happening to me when using Nero, that I now go through a different process when burning to DVD.I triec different players, different versions of Nero, all the various Nero settings, different discs, but nothing stopped the synch problems.
Download a program called WINAVI and use it to convert your movie to DVD before using Nero. This will stop the synch problems, and is so much quicker than letting Nero do the Transcoding. Converting a 700mb file using WINAVI takes about 20 minutes, and then it only takes Nero about 5 minutes to burn to DVD Disc, much quicker than the usual 3 hours Nero takes.
To be honest, I have moved on from burning to disc, and now have a dvd player which has a USB port, and I can simply put the movies onto my 4gb USB Pen Drive and plug it into the dvd player and watch the movie on tv.Also, I recently bought a 500GB external drive that also doubles up as a media centre, and all I do is plug the drive into the scart on my tv, and use the drives remote control to scroll through and choose which file I want to play.
