Hi there abers , I was just sat wondering what to do for lunch. My dog was asleep , or at least I thought she was, and I happened to say " I am getting hungry , think I will just have a biscuit for now."
Well she leapt up , ears astute , and in that beggung pose.
Talk about key words , what words make your pets ears prick up ?

My old dog used to recognise "biscuit" too and "walk" of course, together with "dinner", "kitchen" and most things to do with food!

Yes bensmum ,my dog reacts to the sound of w , adding the alkies for herself . Sausage has the same effect.
I guess it was hungry and biscuit that did it today . :-0
My dog knows 'duck ducks' means its walkie time cos I say to my daughter as were getting ready 'shall we go and see the duck ducks?', as soon as I say it he gets excited.

Aww that's cute raggies1 :-)
the usual walk and dinner,

but what about the ears going down!!!!!
bedtime sweetheart. She looses the ability to use her legs and forms a little ball on the settee.
get down,- off my bed, my chair, my glad rags - this means hide under the duvet or jump up and shed your hair.

ears going up
how do they tell the difference between a packet of crisps and opening any other bag, even when they are in the garden and can not detect by smell?

Whippetycros , that made for a great funny read , thankyou.
Little minx eh. :-) x
My son visits home some weekends and as soon as he starts to get ready and packed to go back , my dog goes in a real sad pose mood and lays on his feet if he sits down , all 48 kilos of her . She refuses to wag her tail or lift her head showing us that she doesnt want him to go.
As for the bag opening noise , yes it is absolutely amazing that they can run in from the garden just from the sound.:-)
Walkies...biccie.....din-dins...wee-wee...chew-chew all ending with niclely thats the dogs with the cats its beddies...grub-grub...kissey-kiss and most of all move up and get down but being cats the get down never works lol
Max has selective "deafness" he can be lying on the drive right outside the door and not hear me calling him giving me that "what, did you call me?" look when I go to get him At other times he can be at the end of the garden and if I take packet of goodies out of the cupboard he's therebefore I can open it. The slightest suggestion of walkies, dinner or anything which in any way could remotely lead to "treats" for him and he appears out of nowhere like a genii out of the bottle
