CompuServe supports POP3 mail access for all Outlook users. The server names are pop.compuserve.com for receiving mail and smtp.compuserve.com for sending.

As of 18 Jan 2000, to send mail via CompuServe using Outlook, you must be using CompuServe as your ISP.

If you prefer to use the original CompuServe Mail service for Exchange client, Windows Messaging, Outlook 97 and Outlook 98 or Outlook 2000 in Corporate/Workgroup mode and want to get messages via your Internet connection, GO CSMAIL to get version 1.1. for more details on using the CompuServe Mail service. Note that if you have the Windows Messaging update, Microsoft Exchange Server client or Outlook, you will not be able to download and mark headers using Remote Mail. This is a bug with the CompuServe Mail service and it not be fixed.
