Anyone know about midwifery degrees?

I am hoping to get onto one either next year or the year after. Does anyone know what time demands are like in the first year? What sort of lecture hours? Thanks.

They have to do lectures and find time to go on 'placement' (unpaid work in local hospital) for a certain amount of time a week. Its pretty full on, neither of them have been able to have a part time job because of this! However, as the previous poster stated, all uni might be different, but this is the kind of thing you could expect at the University of Northampton.

I'm doing a nursing diploma next year & I get 500 a month for it. If you're doing a degree you'll get a different amount, depending on your household income and individual circumstances.
As far as I know, on top of your bursary you get an extra 100 a week for each child you have.
