Best make of lap top
2 Answers
My son is off to uni in September and we have decided to buy him a lap top. So my question is, which is the best make in terms of reliability and use? I expect he will use it for essays, downloading his music and playing games.
Or would he really be better off with a PC?

I'd advise you to wait as late as possible though; in a few weeks, specs may increase slightly and you could have got a better deal.
Good brands are Lenovo (IBM laptops), Sony, Toshiba, Acer, and perhaps Dell.
You may even want to consider Apple. They have a great little laptop called the Macbook, that'll do everything you want, but the Mac's game support is lacking compared to Windows machines. Also note that Apple give substantial reductions for students, but require that you order from the University's network.
