Warks & Northants Air Ambulance Quiz
10 Answers
I need reassurance on my answers for last few clues;
Q53 Is a Yorker the name given to the delivery that is bowled long and pitches directly at the feet of the batsman?
Q56 I'm in the middle of this quiz's compiler, could be a cryptic clue to identify which metal that expands upon solidification and was used along with lead and tin to make type metal. The quiz compiler is Antony Licquorish. I'm pretty certain the answer if Bismuth, but why?
Q77 Was Led Zepplin IV the first album to have no track listing on the sleeve?
Thanks for any help

rbind - Antimony ... of course! Thank you. The only one I have left now is 88. I'm thinking it must be Francis Bacon, but I can't find the quote to confirm. His paintings are all distorted and he was by all accounts a pretty waspish character. I'm going to keep on looking
smouse - I'm certain it's Gray's Inn - it has gardens designed by Bacon and a Griffin on it's coat of arms
furrypusscat - good luck with the rest of the quiz! It's the first one I've tried and, like you, I'm really enjoying getting the old reference books out, and I'm nearly finished

AllyLally,
I'm pretty knew to this page myself - came across it by accident a few weeks ago. Through it I've sent for loads of quizzes which I wouldn't normally have come across and I would only have been doing local ones so as well as enjoying the comradeship, I, like everyone else is supporting the charities. Can confirm (hopefully) that it is Gray's Inn - been looking through husbands tour guides, knew I married him for something!!!
Good luck, Furrypusscat.
