Any good hotels in Bath?

Hi there I am finding it difficult to find a good hotel in Bath, either in the city centre or in the near surroundings.

I would like carpark onsite free or as cheap as possible, a twin room, tv ensuite etc, no dinner or breakfast purely 'bed'.

I like travel lodge for example because the quality is some what guaranteed, and I never stay in privately owned places and b&b's.

I have seen there is a travel lodge in the city centre but with pay parking a distance away and only a double bed, a Hilton is a bit expensive for just a bed and they have lots of cancelation policies to 'F' you over with, and the carpark there is 15 on top for just a shopper multi story. There is an express travel inn which looks terrible and all the other hotels if any (that are chain's) are no where near bath or to far away as need to be in bath by before 8.30am next morning.

Has anyone stayed at any of these and can recommend anything ???

Thanks in advance.

Interesting to here what u say about the hilton rayfr.

Thanks for all the links BBWCHATT very nice of you to look into it all for me, I love the last link for the appartments very cool, I am unsure re the bath apartments as to the lack of parking but the facitiicies are amazing and if I do not take the bath apartment I will sure use one of the other appartments in the future as they have all over the country. A very good link that will come in useful thanks.

ahhhhhh thanks, thats nice of you to say BBWCHATT.

Take care.

Lets hope when I find a pad in bath it is good and not a night to 'forget' rather than remember! lol

I might try and look at online reviews of the hilton to see whether it has improved since rayfr stayed there. There 's views online about everything these days isn't there.

Many thanks again
