I remember a movie with the story line that this guy is a victim of some kind of violence and cannot remember who he is, but he meets a woman who is poor but helps him and they fall in love and leter it turns out that he is rich and they lve happily ever after. Does anyone know this story and what movie it is?

Sounds like Random Harvest (1942) to me. He loses his memory in WW1 is encarcerated in an asylum, wanders our during armistace celebrations, meets an actress & they marry. He then goes away on business gets run over remembers his first life in which he's rich, and forgets second life. She later goes to work for him without telling him about their life together in the hope his memory comes back which in the final scene it does.
