Laptop screen blurred......help!

hi i have a windows vista laptop made by compaq and since last night the screen has been slightly blurred , i have no idea whats causing this or how to fix it ,if anyone has any ideas i would appreciate it alot thanks Divegirl.

[Ahem....this is actually being posted by my son....who co-incidently has sole usage of the laptop and will be in major trouble if he's broken it!!!!!]

Not sure how to do it on Vista but my screen blurs if someone changes the screens "refresh rate".
On mine in XP you Right click on the dekstop and select properties, then settings, then advanced then its on the monitor tab. Maybe Vista is similar.

The screen will appear blurred if you change the resolution to anything other than the native resolution of the display panel.
