As an online person I have seen my library account at my local social services website. The date in the due dae column online is different to the date stamped inside the book - with one book I have a difference of over a month.
Can anyone explain why I have this discrepancy?

I don't know where you live Lorcan but we have just had a new system installed at Norfolk Libraries.I often find the date in a particular book is not what is in my online account .This is because they don't actually stamp them anymore .It's all done electronically and you get a printed receipt .These dates in your books probably predate a new system .As long as your online details are correct I wouldn't worry about it too much .
The only thing I find annoying with it is that I invariably lose the printed receipt and find myself checking my due dates on the website all the time in case my books are overdue .
