Ipod shuffle help

Can someone tell me if I buy an ipod shuffle from Argos do I need to get anything else like software? i have Vista on my computer and just want to put my cds on to it.

Thanks and sorry for the ignorance these things are all beyond me and I bought a mp3 player before and couldn't work it out. P.s I did ask this question in the technology section but didn't really get a big reply.

I got one the other day!!! So cool! I didn't want to pay for songs so i just downloaded itunes off the internet, then uploaded all the songs of my cds onto that. Connect the ipod to the pc with the included usb and hey presto!!! Hope that helps anyways!

I just went on the itunes website (uk) and you can actually ownload itunes itself lol all very clever haha, then you put the cd in and it uploads them onto itunes for you! TADA :)

just make sure you are connected to the internet when you upload the tracks from your cds and it will automatically list the track names and artists. viola!!!
