How can I get rid of ants from my lawn?

I have ants in lawn and just wanted to know how i could get rid of them??

There are any number of granular, shake out of the can ant killing products at most gardening stores, at least here in the U.S. They are relatively environmentally safe and effective, but use them sparingly and only at the entrance to the ants nesting sites since the products can damage the lawn, at least temporarily...

it would me nearly 2 month to rid of ants but done by watching where the ants were leaving and entering into ground and laying ant baits(2 for �3 out of the garden centre) and also ant powder have to keep up procedure as advised by enviornmental health man from council but has worked wonders
