As for what else happens, my theories change daily! Today, I'm thinking that Ron, Hermione and Harry all survive but I think that's just wishful thinking! One of the Horcruxes, I'm sure, is the locket that was in Grimmauld Place because it was Sirius' brother that swapped the fake locket for the real horcrux one. I would think that Kreacher has it somewhere now. Oh, and I don't think Malfoy will turn out to be bad - we saw a whole different side to him in the last book.
As for what your friend said, it's just his/her theory - they couldn't actually know for sure. The Muggle world has gradually been becoming more caught up in the wizard world though so who knows? x

I have a theroy that dumbledore is going to "come back" in one shape or form, if not just in spirt to guide Harry. Cant beleive there will be no contact from dumbledore in the last book.
How can Snape not be bad though he is the one who 'killed' dumbledore, or was it planned like that for some reason? its all very exciting and cant wait to get my hands on the book.
Why dont you think snape is bad? just curious what your theory is?

The reason I don't think Snape is bad is because of the conversation he had with Dumbledore in The Half-Blood Prince. Hagrid overheard a conversation where Snape said he 'didn't want to do it anymore' but Dumbledore said that he'd agreed to do it so he had to. I think they were talking about Snape pretending to be a Death Eater. I'm sure Snape told Dumbledore about The Unbreakable Vow as well so when, in THAT scene, Dumbledore 'pleads' to Snape, he was actually pleading with him to do it so that he (Snape) can keep spying. The hatred that was Snape's face at the time was because he hated having to kill someone he was close to. My theory anyway. Also, Dumbledore was the only wizard Voldemort was scared of and he was portrayed as always being so intelligent and highly skilled that I don't think that Rowling would insult his memory by showing that he was wrong the whole time. It would ruin the character that everyone had faith in.
What you said about Dumbledore coming back - maybe he comes back in the form of a new Patronus for Harry - a phoenix maybe?
And maybe a showdown between Lupin and Greyback Fennir?
I'm so excited. Dreamt about it last night too! x

Yeah good theory, gets me thinking and more excited, i cant wait, i wish i booked a few days of work for pure reading, i dont want to be up at 3 in the morning again not being able to put the book down.
I defo think dumbledore does take the form of something or someone in the new book. I did always think one minute snape is good then the next he is not, but im more leaning on the side of him being good now. Hope so anyway.
Do not want to see Harry die, which everyone keeps saying dreading it happening.

im hoping that none of the three main characters (+ Ginny) die cos I`m an old romantic. I d like to think the final battle between HP and LV results in the latters death and a loss of magical powers for all left in the Wizard world. This way JK can finish the books and ensure nobody else can write about a magical Harry in the future, as is her wish. Here s hoping..

I think Regulus Black (Sirius's cousin) was the RAB who took the locket. A locket was mentioned in HP5 in the early chapters - when HP, HG and RW were cleaning up 12 Grimmauld Place. JK hid the mention of the locket in a list of other items.
At that time Kreacher kept pinching old Black heirlooms and hiding them in his den. He might have the locket now. JK told the director of HP5(Movie) not to cut Kreacher from the edit.
Alternatively, in HP6 Harry found out Mundungus had been stealing things from Grimmauld Place and confronted him outside the Hogs Head. The locket might have been stolen by Mundungus, who we find out later on in HP6 has been sent to Azkaban for impersonating an Inferius during a burglary.
Mundungus has been mentioned repeatedly throughout the canon, in HP2 and HP4 as well as appearing in HP5 and HP6, suggesting he will be signficant in HP7.
Did RAB destroy the Horcrux inside the locket? Perhaps he didn't know how to. It seems from the cover of the UK adult edition that the locket is a major feature of HP7.
Unlike the wealth of information about the locket, there is silence concerning Helga Hufflepuff's cup. Is the cup a red herring and not a Horcrux after all?

I think that Neville will die, after all he was supposed to be "the chosen one" rather than Harry.
I also have a nasty feeling that Hermione may be killed. Think about it - she is muggle born (Malfoys etc hate her!). Also she is very clever and is the one who gives Harry the spells he needs to save himself. If I was Voldemort, she would be the one I would target!
J K Rowling on the Jonathan Ross show said that Hermione was her favourite character. She then went on to say that she cried buckets writing the third chapter from the end as a favourite character was killed. I think she will kill off a main character as she has not shrunk away from killing off main ones before ie Sirius and Dumbledore.
