bouncer chair for an active baby...? any ideas

can anyone recommend one of those bouncer chairs that is suitable for an active baby that sits up unaided?

the ones we have state that they are not suitable for babies that can sit up ... the other day she toppled it and tried to crawl along with it on her back like a tortoise!

any one know of any names of ones that would be suitable?

Why do you need a chair for a baby that can sit up? They are supposed to be somewhere safe to put a baby who cannot sit. If you want to contain your baby somewhere you could try a playpen or a bouncy seat that hangs from your door suitanle from 4 to 10months ish.

I agree with Tigwig - bouncy chairs are normally meant for babies who can't yet sit. When our daughter outgrew hers, we got one of those 'donut' rings. She sat in that quite happily surrounded by toys and I was quite sure she couldn't fall out of it.

quite simply she likes bouncing in it.

we just wondered if there were weighted ones with good straps, so she can't topple it.

we have the donut, but she gets out of that.
i think she too small for rocking horse at the moment - she's 6 months

hi there i know just how you feel my little boy was the same try getting a chair
that has a thick metal frame instead of the thin frames as they are only sutiable to 6 months my little boy is almost 2 now and still sits in his chair to watch teletubbies not fastened in obviersoly. i think i payed about 15 pound for it but its great really thick my partners daughter bounched out of hers at about 4/5 months old as she was very heavy she was obeise and the chair couldnt take her weight she went flying forward and smacked her face off the floor and we found this chair it was great for her! try yr local baby shop!!!
