Questions and ratings

AB Ed's - great work so far, thankyou. Two things, before a Q is posted a prompt to say [a] Do you want to post this in ..... section, [b] check your spelling? the other point, I know the ratings system is not popular with everyone, They don't apply to every Q and I don't always use it. It's useful to know however, if you've got the gist of the question right, so what about re-wording it? "Does this answer your Q? All of it *****, Most of it ****, Some of it ***, A bit of it **, not entirely *, No [none]? And when there is more than one answer, can we rate them all in one go rather than one at a time? That way, people might be more inclined to use it?

i always give a rating just to acknowledge the fact that people have taken time to post an answer,i just think its polite.

I think the chance to review your question (and your answers if poss) before posting would be excellent. I also think a prompt about categories would enhance the site. As for "rating" answers, there seems to be very divided opinion about this, I can see where you're coming from, but I still think it won't work because many contributors wouldn't use it. Your idea is certainly better than the stars we have at present though. Please don't go off in a huff like another contributor did last week when I disagreed with them on a similar subject;-)

*GAB Paulz and Kags!* Like the idea of the pre-posting checks. And the ratings suggestion is excellent, just don't see point of current system but would like to acknowledge when people have taken trouble to answer.
