my daughters pet hamster seems to have a lump that bleeds from time to time in its ear,its just over a year old and feeds very well still, is this a common thing with hamsters and should i take it to the vets?

Provided its not bleeding a lot, i.e. dripping blood, then it should be ok. Just wipe it with a damp tissue. If it looks any worse then I'd get it checked out by the vet just to be sure.
