my pal went to nurse in surgery
he has diabetes
they wewre talking about fruit
the nurse said
their is more sugar
in a banana thats going rotten
than a green banana
is she right

Two over ripe bananas have a high GI content so yes, the Nurse is right. This would give your friend a rush of too much sugar at once.
yeah, as fruit ripens the enzymes break it down and create more fructose. A green banana is more starchy, where as in a ripe banana this will have turned to fructose and have a trace amount of starch. The riper a fruit is the more sugar it will contain, I dont think thats just banana.

forgot to mention that grapes are not too great for your friend either. Five a day will be his limit.
