Can anyone remember a tune that was in the charts about this time called Joop or something similar? It was a catchy Charleston type of tune.
Thanks

it's called 'Doop' by 'Doop' and it was in the charts early 1994
It's on my list of Euro-faves - i adore it!

This is the kind of tune that people put on their 'Guilty Pleasures' list - get over yourselves! If you like something, you like it, who cares if other people think you are weird because your taste and theirs don't match?

The notion of 'guilty pleasures' is making money out of people who are so up themselves they think the world gives a toss if they happen to like 'Ruff Mix' by Wonder Dog, and yes, I do, and play it on my car CD at full volume!
'Guilty Pleasures', I like that !, mine's 'Coco Jamboo' by Mr President and what makes it worse is that we used to line dance to it. Ahh, happy days.

Sun, sea, sand and anything else beginning with S.
Does that mean Andy I know longer need to be ashamed that I adore STEP's version of Tragedy?
Definitely Doop by Doop. They were dutch and made No.1 in 1994.
One of my fave memories of one of our daughters involves this song. She was about 5 or 6 and was playing with her doll. The song was on the radio, and as she was leaning over the settee wrapping her doll up her little bum was wiggling from side to side in time to the music as she sang. Wish I'd caught it on the camcorder!
Now andy has admitted his love of Doop I can get out my copy of Whigfields 'Saturday Night' and go to heaven :o)
It does Boo - a great song is beyond being ruined - although Whitney gave 'I Will Always Love Yahoo' a good mauling, even she couldn't quite completely obliterate the magic of Dolly Parton.

Of course you can Pippa68 - even by Europop standards, this is a top notch record - also on my car CD - also played full volume, and sung along with too! Loudly ... and badly!
