A disqualification from driving, imposed by a UK court, does not apply worldwide. You can obtain a driving licence in another country and use it in that country and all other countries which recognise it (excluding the UK and those territories with which the UK has reciprocal agreements).
However, since 23/05/05, there's been a reciprocal agreement in place between Great Britain & Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man. Driving bans imposed by British courts now apply on the Isle of Man, and vice versa.
