Just notice my cat has a small white blob on the back of its ear and was wondering if this is a tick? If it is how do I get it of and how do i kill it? Also how do you know if you have a tick on yourself is it sore or itch?
Thankyou for any help.

the ticks ive seen are mostly black i think......although i think they might come in a sort of white tinges colour - bit like a broad bean.........you can pull them out with tweezers, although that can sometimes be risky as they are prone to leaving their claws in so-to-speak and this is bad. They dont leave their grip easily so the most effective way is to burn them with a lighter so that they drop their grip and then quickly pull them out (this could involve 2 or 3 people!). They basically suck blood so they usually leave a bloody sore afterwards. I think they do hurt. Best out than on tho! if you took it to a vet im sure theyd do it for you.
