When do you get the results of house survey back?

Hi all, the buyers of my boyfriends house had a survey done on it yesterday and I was wondereing if anyone can tell me how long it takes to get the results? Will they know pretty much straight away or have to wait? I hope its all okay(!!!) argh,tenterhooks....

You usually get a brief report over the 'phone from the surveyor within a few days of their visit followed by the written report a few days later and they then expect payment within 14days of receipt of the written report.The waiting is awful but don't worry too much...good luck
