Koh Tao, Thailand
Hi, I'm going to Koh Tao and Koh Phangan in September and I wondered how easy it is to get around to visit other beaches. Particularly with Ko Tao - we're going to stay on Sairee Beach so we have a good choice of excursions and restaurants etc but i will want to go and visit other beaches that are better for snorkelling - are taxi boats available easily and often? What about hiring sea kayaks?
Any help MUCH appreciated
Thanks,

Dirt cheap and no problems, but ask the price first! If your younger than I am (most people are!) you can hire a scooter or small motorbike which are also good value and you've got the advantage of go where you want when you want.
Koh Tao airport is an experience, pleasant one I might add. Going back next year

Ah, you spotted my deliberate mistake :)
Koh Tao doesn't have an airport, I meant Koh Samui. When my alarm went off at 3:15 this morning, I realised my mistake, Strange how the subconscious mind continues to sort out things when your asleep!
Only way onto Koh Tao and Koh Phangan is by sea. If your going there from Bangkok you can also catch the 'VIP Tourist Bus' from Bangkok to Chumpon and then catch the ferry, bit cheaper than flying although obviously longer.
