can beer still be drank 6 months after it sell by date thanks ROAD JOCKY

Let you taste buds tell you. If it tastes OK, drink it. You may have to stay handy for the toilet next morning but that's a chance you take.

If it is a bottled beer - and especially if it is bottle-conditioned (contains live yeast) - then it gets better with age. 6 months after sell-by date is nothing, and you can ignore advice to bin it.

I have drunk bottled beer that has been over 20 years old, and it was superb.
