How do I silence this annoying bleep when parked, the ignition is on to hear the radio and the drivers door is open on a hot summers day? In the past I have wedged a piece of wood between the car body and the push switch to hold it in on the door frame but I'm looking for another method.
How about opening the window and closing the door.I presume it's beeping because the keys are in the ignition.Short of wiring the radio to be constanly live (ignition on or off) I can't think of any other way
right in one! You need the key turned on in the ignition. I mistakingly thought that there were some motoring experts on this site and not to repeat answers I could have suggested myself.
Panic button obviously has one of the many cars on market which allow the radio to be used when the key is not in the ignition, i cant see why you needed to be so rude.
Im sure if you thought to mention what make and model it is, someone may have the same car or suggest how it can be reprogrammed. Also the stereo model may help if its not factory fitted.
otherwise, youll just have to continue with the lump of wood method or open your windows.
Making the radio permanently live may be a possibility. In fact I already have the cigarette lighter permanently live so that I can connect various items without using the ignition key but they are not a permanent fixture so unsure what problem it would cause the radio and its fuses.
I was hoping for a solution such as disabling the bleeper wire at the door switch or elsewhere.
