I reckon that if you feel like you want to sleep with your Best friend, then you have to, because, you are not going to be happy with things just as friends. If you get my meaning.
i have been in this situation, and i slept with my best friend twice, both great, we are still best friends, and are now both enjoying relationships with different people, but best mates forever, hope this helps xxx

Thanks guys, both answers have helped, i mean i was thinking if we are such good friends it would never be the same but ,if it's actually turned out to be okay for you, then hopefully it will be the same for me, it's a chance i think i'll take.. Especially if i really want to and i can't think of us as just mates till i've done it.. so really thank you :) x
might, might not. There aren't any rules. I know people who say it totally changed their relationship - not necessarily for the worse, but sometimes. Other times it's fine, as lynnepooh says. All you can do is cross your fingers and try... or you could just decide you're happy as you are and not change anything, but presumably you aren't quite, or you wouldn't have posted this question?
Jno is also right, I would say this though, life is too short, I'm still young (pretend to be) and I SERIOUSLY regret not taking the chance when I was in a similar situation.

Good luck. ;-)
chances are it'll end in disaster. Not being pessimistic but if you really rate them as a good friend best to stick like that and find someone else.
Is it really friendship or did it start off with this being your ulterior motive? If its the latter, then just do it, what have you got to lose?

He started as good friends and still are just flirt and talk about things differently, but i think both of us feel the same, not knowing weather to or not, deep down... I think i am going to try what i said and slowly head towards it but, i will see what happens, because i believe things happen for a reason, i will take it seriously slow and se how it goes....because in a way we are pretty much there, if you see what i mean..
i fell in love with my best friend and we were together over a year but now are back to best friends as it didnt work out. it could end in tradegy but probabaly not as u were close before anyway. its difficult now but at least we can go back to something we had before.
''we're pretty much there??'' i dont know what you mean, but if you're talking about it a lot and feel the same way then go right ahead as everything happens for a reason, ure right, and hope you are both happy as being such good 'frneds' for so long, and having all these feelings what else could have been on your minds all this time....

When i said "We are pretty much there" i meant that we are pretty much on our way to a relationship if we want it but..it's, well nothing really happening... Never mind.. We'll see..
